Information Page for a GOV.TT registration

This page outlines the purpose of this site and subtle stipulation/policies.

Purpose of this site:

  1. A temporary site while the Government's Communication Backbone Project is in progress for the registration of Domains on the GOV.TT second level top-level country domain (e.g. pai.gov.tt)

  2. To automate the requests to the current administrator during this interim period

  3. Owing to time and resources constraints proper validation was not added to the forms thus it is imperative that you the user enter accurate information to ensure your speedy and accurate registration

  4. We do not own or assign IP addresses, as a result all Reverse Zones must be done between the registrant and their ISP of choice

  5. Our registration takes 24hrs from notification. However global replication may vary (depending on the Refresh time of other Global DNS servers) from 48hrs to 1 week

  6. All Registrations are FREE of Charge provided the information is valid:

Registration Process:

  1. This is a three (3) step Process

  2. Step 1:

    1. First you must enter a valid Domain name which can be searched at this site Registration Step 1 Page

    2. Also for registered sites they can do a search on this site to determine if and when their registration was successful

  3. Step 2:

    1. A form of relevant information must be filled out with only the fields with (*) can be left blank

    2. Invalid email address will kill the process and you must redo the registration

    3. Owing to time and resources constraints proper validation was not added to the forms thus it is imperative that you the user enter accurate information to ensure your speedy and accurate registration --> Garbage IN -> Garbage OUT

    4. The form is effective and personal contact is recommended for only special and critical assistance (hence the reason for this site)

    5. Please do take extreme care in filling out this form. This form has only one validation type, which is a review and re-enter (if necessary) for the form information.

    6. The following automation of the web form has been DISABLED and NOW all request must come in writing with PERMANENT SECRETARY approval together with the required registration information in this site in step 2 Registration Step 2 Page

    7. The ESC button acts exactly like the RESET button for the Registration form (Disabled currently)

    8. The ENTER button acts exactly like the SUBMIT button for the Registration form (Disabled currently)

  4. Step 3:

    1. This is the final step and is simply a notification of the success or failure of the registration process

    2. A copy of the information will be emailed to both the registrant and the administrator automatically

    3. Then a further email will be sent to the registrant from the administrator, if the registration is successful or there are errors in the form or validation problems
